Details of 3G Spectrum Auction and the List of Winners

The online auction of India’s 3G GSM services’ license  has ended with bids for a pan India license at Rs 16,751 crore. This auction had started on 9th of last month with 9 bidders competing for slots of 3G in various telecom circles. The 3G auction has ensured the government a revenue of around Rs 67,719 crore in spite of not even a single operator bidding  for a pan-India license. Therefore, BSNL still reins as the largest 3G operator in the country.
The following in the list of winners in the specific circle :
As per a notification, the bidders who won the bids will have to the money within 10 days from now and can start operations from 1st September 2010. So these private operators will have some catching up to do, as state owned BSNL and MTNL have already launched 3G services in more than 430 cities throughout the nation.
